This year, we got the green light to start a YFC Core Club at Bradford schools,
and it’s been awesome! Bringing the Gospel of Jesus into our local schools, especially my hometown school, has been such a blessing. We meet every Friday from 7:35 AM to 8:00 AM, and we’ve had a bunch of students join us for a quick Bible study and prayer. One of the students, Elizabeth Skinner, shares her experience:
“Hey, I’m Elizabeth Skinner, and I go to Youth for Christ almost every Friday. I’ve been going to my church since I was two years old and now, I’m in the youth group there. Growing up in church, I already had a pretty strong idea of faith, but these Friday meetings showed me that I can start my day with Jesus at school, not just at home or church. It’s nice to see that there are others in my school who share the same beliefs, and we can openly talk about our faith. Listening to people’s testimonies is my favorite part. Both of our leaders, Kevin and Jason, shared their stories, and it was inspiring to hear what they’ve been through in their faith journey. Overall, I’m so glad I had the chance to join this group, and I’d recommend it to all students and schools.”
We’re planning to finish the year strong and continue next year, hopefully with some after-school meetings too! Keep praying for our program, Elizabeth, and the other students who are growing their faith through YFC!
