CROSS Con 2025

January 30, 2025

story

Something incredible has been happening in early January for the last several years in Louisville, Kentucky. Thousands of people between the ages of 17 to 25 gather to listen to dynamic speakers and engage in meaningful worship, all under the name of Jesus. CROSS Con is a three-day event including people from all over the world. It equips those who love Jesus with the understanding they have an important mission to fulfill in the body of Christ.

This year, YFC decided to promote and organize an outing for Darke County. It resulted in 27 individuals attending, representing 10 different local churches! High school juniors, seniors, and college age felt the call to go, and they all came back more spiritually focused. One such Greenville High School student was *Dylan.

Dylan has been a part of YFC since he was in junior high, attending Hangtime and winter camp over the years. Before the conference, he confided in me of a void he was feeling in his life. He knew Jesus was asking of more from him, he just didn’t know what it looked like. CROSS Con provided a catalyst for him. On many occasions during the event, I noticed him on his knees before the Lord during worship or taking notes with his Bible open during a message. Halfway through the conference, Dylan came to me and said, “I need you to contact my mom. I want to go on the Peru mission’s trip with you guys this summer.” When I asked what he thought about the conference, he stated “I love this. I wish I could do this all the time. We need to go again next year.” Dylan, we may just have to do that.
