Jordan Guinn – Preble Co. Community Engagement Coordinator & Preble Co. Ministry Volunteer

Hi, I’m Jordan Guinn, I’m someone who knows what it feels like to grow up with more questions than answers, more struggle than support. I didn’t come from much, but what I lacked in resources, I found in resilience and in the people who chose to see something in me when I couldn’t see it myself. That’s why I care so deeply about the next generation, especially those who feel overlooked or forgotten. I’ve walked some hard roads, and because of that, I carry a deep love for youth who are just trying to find their place in a world that doesn’t always make it easy. I stand for truth, for second chances, for being real—and for showing up even when it’s messy. That’s who I am. I’m not perfect, but I am present, and I believe that’s what makes the difference.

My heart for Youth for Christ and for Preble County comes from that same place—wanting to be for others what I wish I had more of growing up. My vision is to create spaces where kids feel safe enough to be themselves and supported enough to become who God made them to be. I want to build relationships that go beyond the surface, rooted in trust, grace, and consistency. This isn’t just a job or a role to me—it’s a calling. I believe every young person has a story worth hearing and a future worth fighting for, and I’m here to remind them they don’t have to do it alone. Together, with YFC, I believe we can help raise up a generation in Preble County that’s not only strong—but healed, hopeful, and whole.

Abby Krauss – Franklin Monroe Ministry Site Leader

My name is Abby Krauss and I am a site leader at Franklin Monroe. I run what we call CORE Club, which is an in-school club where high school and junior high students gather during their homeroom period on Wednesdays to be encouraged by the Word. We play games typically as an ice breaker and to get students involved and participating. I share a lesson from Scripture and we discuss it in small groups. Small groups are a helpful avenue for students to think through personal application and share how they can be a light in their school. Prayer is powerful, and I make sure to incorporate prayer at the end of the lesson or small groups. I can usually get a student to pray for us which has been really amazing to see.

I started going into school and passing out candy during lunch in September, which was a helpful avenue to build relationships before club event started. We started meeting for club October 1st and have on average around 30 high school students and 20 junior high students show up. I’ve been encouraged already to see God moving in the lives of students. I have a group of five student leaders who wanted to serve and step up to see the gospel advance in their school. Two high school student leaders stayed for the junior high club and joined in on small groups last Wednesday.

A highlight for me has been to see the Lord build relationships and cultivate in these students a knowledge and love for the gospel!
